We needed to say a sincere thank you to Kari Proger and the staff at BMW Calmoto Motorcycles in California.
We'd met up with Kari at the Rawhyde Adventure Challenge in June and he'd offered his help right off the bat. So when Lisa's F650GS strarted showing engine leakage we dropped by.
We'd already had a diagnosis from anther dealer and were potentially looking at a $1,500.00 bill for dropping the engine and replaceing a major crank case gasket.
The problem was just oil over fill and untightened bolts, which Calmoto fixed. It's worth mentioning that Kari had however, already cleared it with BMW NA that had the problem been the larger one we'd expected, then he and BMW NA would sposnsor us with the parts and labour...unbelievable.
Kari's technicians insisted they look over the bike and come up with thier own diagnosis. We're sure glad they did.
