Stanton Head Guards

A BIG THNAK YOU to Jim in the USA. Jim very kindly donated a set of his brilliant "Stanton Head guards".

For obvious reason protecting the bikes in falls and crashes is a major concern for Lisa and I. Up until recently there was no real way of protecting the exposed rocker covers on the R1100GS, except to hope that the engine guards would take most of the impact.

BMW supply some rockers covers as standard, unfortunately they are mostly cosmetic and aren't going to put up a fight in the event of a real fall.

I came across Jim's web page almost by accident, lucky I did. Jim's produced using cast aluminum, covers that are far more substantial than those from BMW and protect both the top and bottom sections of the rocker covers. A few minutes after reading about Jim's product, an email was off to Jim asking if he could help in preparing our bikes, the same afternoon Jim responded by offering to donate a set to the cause.

Any riders of GS's or other Oil Heads out there really should try to get a set of these, it's not often that a product comes along the acts so functionally whilst at the same time looks so good on your bike.

If you fancy a set or just want to enquire you can contact Jim via the details below or click on the Stanton Head Guards banner at the top of this page to go to his web site.
